This course guides officers and supervisors how to respond to an in-progress incident safely, calmly and methodically. It gives students the confidence to easily cut through confusion and uncertainly.

Students learn not only the industry-standard tactics, but the latest modern methods available for fleeing suspects, barricaded suspects, mentally ill persons in crisis and more.

It uses up to date incident videos and modern approaches to interactive learning. The course enhances the student’s decision-making capability.

They learn simple techniques to effectively “out-smart” and “out-maneuver” an adversary using prioritization, coordination and knowing when and when not to engage.

Deputy Chief Dan FlippoYour instructor will be Deputy Chief Dan Flippo from the Santa Cruz, CA Police Department. Dan is a working law enforcement officer with decades of experience in SWAT and Patrol and is also an instructor with the National Tactical Officers Association. Most importantly, Dan understands your perspective whether you are from a large or small agency and whether you are an officer or supervisor. He is a passionate instructor who is going to make sure you have a great time while learning how to handle any critical incident.
