Practical De-Escalation and Tactical Conduct

A live virtual training event for law enforcement officers and supervisors

Live Webinar: Practical De-Escalation and Tactical Conduct

Tuesday, September 8 • 9:00am – Noon PT

Featuring Savage Training Group Founder Scott Savage
and Deputy Chief Dan Flippo

Sponsored by the Police Credit Union

Hosted by the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office

Due to the incredible feedback we received on this webinar when initially presented, our instructors are going to present this material once again in a live format.

De-escalation training for law enforcement is a popular topic, yet most agencies have a hard time even defining de-escalation much less providing their officers with realistic de-escalation tactics they can use.

During this live event we’ll provide students with:

  • The realities of employing de-escalation tactics in dynamic incidents
  • How to use “tactical conduct” to avoid violent confrontations
  • The two things the suspect must do for de-escalation to be a viable tactic
  • Choosing between the de-escalation tactic or the definitive use of force
  • Multi-media debrief of a recent real-world incident

Your instructors will be Scott Savage and Dan Flippo. Scott is a 21-year law enforcement officer in California and the founder of Savage Training Group. Dan is a 29-year law enforcement officer and the Deputy Chief of the Santa Cruz Police Department in California.

Registration includes certificate and access to the recordings from the previous two webinars in this series (Critical Incident Response and Critical Incident Decision-Making). Want to attend but your work schedule won’t allow? Don’t worry, all registered attendees will have access to the recording of the event for 7 days after the webinar ends, so you can watch them at your convenience.

Registration is open to sworn law enforcement officers only. Please use a governmental e-mail address when registering to assist us in verifying your employment.

Spots are limited so register today.
