As a law enforcement professional, you deserve to attend training courses taught by experts in the field. What worked 20 years ago may no longer be relevant, and you deserve an instructor who understand the modern challenges that cops face.
Sergeant Eddie Chan is a current FTO Sergeant with the San Jose Police Department in California. Not only is San Jose the birthplace of the FTO concept, its also a big department that cycles a lot of recruits through the program. Eddie has spent the last ten years in the FTO program, so he has seen nearly every issue before. One of the things our FTO students like best about Eddie is that he gives them specific and practical tools that really work.
Eddie started his career with the much smaller Milpitas Police Department (CA) in 1994 before joining San Jose PD in 2001. That means that no matter if you are from a small or large agency, Eddie can provide you training strategies that will work in your particular situation. Eddie has over 27 years of law enforcement experience and has worked assignments in FTO, Motors, SWAT, and Air Support. As an instructor for our Field Training Officer and Field Training Officer Update courses, Eddie is helping our students maximize their performance and become exert trainers.
